{"id":2299,"date":"2018-10-29T00:00:39","date_gmt":"2018-10-29T00:00:39","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.dgen.net\/0\/?p=2299"},"modified":"2019-02-22T15:57:44","modified_gmt":"2019-02-22T15:57:44","slug":"a-national-archive-fit-for-the-21st-century","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/dgen.net\/0\/2018\/10\/29\/a-national-archive-fit-for-the-21st-century\/","title":{"rendered":"A national archive fit for the 21st century"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Working with\u00a0<a href=\"http:\/\/dcd.ca\">Dance Collection Danse<\/a> (DCD) we are initiating a project to\u00a0create a new national archive: a shared history that will be a co-created and co-managed collaboration between institutions, organizations and individuals. <\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">We believe the idea of an archive in the age of the web isn\u2019t just \u2018creating a portal\u2019 but creating an environment where everyone can contribute, access and share.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">We are in the design phase, with an aim to\u00a0 connect records of Canadian dance from across the country into an accessible digital platform to enable engagement, contribution and reuse.
