{"id":79,"date":"2006-07-24T19:08:59","date_gmt":"2006-07-24T19:08:59","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.dgen.net\/blog\/index.php\/2006\/07\/24\/monitoring-global-temperature-with-servers\/"},"modified":"2006-07-24T19:11:48","modified_gmt":"2006-07-24T19:11:48","slug":"monitoring-global-temperature-with-servers","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/dgen.net\/0\/2006\/07\/24\/monitoring-global-temperature-with-servers\/","title":{"rendered":"Monitoring global temperature with servers"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>We had a power outage in our area today, taking out our office&#8230; (following on from yesterday\u2019s outage in Marylebone that took out Level3 in the UK &#8211; in the USA <a href=\"http:\/\/news.bbc.co.uk\/2\/hi\/technology\/5209496.stm\">MySpace<\/a> was also taken out by the heat &#8211; this is a little concerning!).<\/p>\n<p>One fascinating thing though &#8211; the temperature graphs on our servers show a rapid rise from the stable air-con&#8217;d temperature leading up to the outage.
