The Lady Jean Fforde | ||
His Grace the Duke of Montrose Chief of Clan Graham |
AND MASTER OF NONE contains the memoirs of Angus Graham, 7th Duke of Montrose, and brother of Lady Jean. This book is one written by a man of many talents - a "Jack of all trades...". Beginning with his childhood, then his years at Oxford, he goes on to tell of his life in Canada, where he sampled life as a cowboy and farmhand. He continues with his exploration of Arizona, which includes an added twist of FBI intrigue. He tells of his work as an agronomist in Rhodesia, and of his wartime experiences in the Royal Navy: his political life in Rhodesia, where he became Minister of Defence after UDI, as well as 60 years of farming in Zimbabwe. As a boy he taught himself the Gaelic language and competed at the MOD. Unlikely to be reprinted there are only 300 copies remaining. |
